More than 25 organizations sign joint letter calling for EI Parental leave reforms

The Child Care Advocacy Association of Canada and 25 community and labour organizations have sent a joint letter to the Prime Minister of Canada and the Federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development expressing grave concerns with the current federal consultations on parental leave.   The joint letter notes the federal government has restricted itself to a very narrow set of options for reform.  The organizations recommend alternative changes to EI similar to those the CCAAC advanced in its own submission to the government.
